THE BIBLE

Mark 6:4 Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.”
The correct answer will always be displayed in RED.

The Bible serves four (4) important functions in a Christian?s life.
1st. It teaches us what is true.
2nd. It makes us realize what is wrong in our lives.
3rd. It straightens us out and helps us do what is right.
4th. It is GODS way of making us well prepared at every point, fully equipped to do good to everyone.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today, and forever
Man Made Myths Form From The Bible
Adam & Eve The First Humans On Earth
Do you believe that a Curse from GOD is the same as a Blessing from GOD?
If the answer is no, they are not the same, then how can Adam and Eve be the first man & woman created by GOD.
GOD created man and women at the same time, and blessed them, and sent them into the world to multiply, become masters of it,.
Genesis 1:26 God said, Let Us make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth. Genesis 1:27 So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth. Genesis 1:29 And God said, See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the land and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food. Genesis 1:30 And to all the animals on the earth and to every bird of the air and to everything that creeps on the ground--to everything in which there is the breath of life--I have given every green plant for food. Genesis 1:31 And it was so. And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good and He approved it completely. And there was evening and there was morning, a sixth day.
How much time went by until GOD created Adam (no one knows).
2Peter 3:8 Nevertheless, do not let this one fact escape you, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day.
However the creation of Adam was a single act of creating man, not woman
Genesis 2:7 Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being.
Not as it was in Genesis 1:27, a single act of creating man and woman.
How much time went by until GOD created Eve (no one knows)
The Garden of Eden
1st. Genesis 2:8 And the Lord God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden; and there He put the man whom He had formed. Genesis 2:15 And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend, guard and keep it.
2nd. Genesis 2:9 And out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight or to be desired--good for food; the tree of life also in the center of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and blessing and calamity.
3rd. Genesis 2:18 Now the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper meet for him.
The Animals
4th. Genesis 2:19 And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast and living creature of the field and every bird of the air and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them; and whatever Adam called every living creature, that was its name. Genesis 2:20 And Adam gave names to all the livestock and to the birds of the air and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found a helper meet for him.
Now comes Eve
5th. Genesis 2:21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam; and while he slept, He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh.
Genesis 2:22 And the rib which the Lord God had taken from the man He built up and made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.
Genesis 2:23 Then Adam said, This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of a man.
When GOD sent Adam and Eve into the world, he did so with a CURSE
1st. Genesis 3:16 To the woman He said, I will greatly multiply your grief and your suffering in pregnancy and the pangs of childbearing; with spasms of distress you will bring forth children. Yet your desire and craving will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.
2nd. Genesis 3:17 And to Adam He said, Because you have listened and given heed to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it, the ground is under a curse because of you; in sorrow and toil shall you eat of it all the days of your life. Genesis 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth for you, and you shall eat the plants of the field.
Genesis 3:19 In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you shall return.
You Must Give 10% Of Your Earnings To The Church
Church Leaders will use the 10% as an insurance of making money
MONEY THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL
The giving of 10% is from the Old Testament
Leviticus 27:30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord's; it is holy to the Lord. Proverbs 3:9 Honor the Lord with your capital and sufficiency and with the first fruits of all your income; Proverbs 3:10 So shall your storage places be filled with plenty, and your vats shall be overflowing with new wine. Exodus 22:29 You shall not delay to bring to Me from the fullness and the outflow; give Me the firstborn of your sons. Genesis 28:22 And this stone which I have set up as a pillar shall be God's house, and of all that You give me I will give the tenth to You.
You must understand you have been freed from the Laws of the
Old Testament
Hosea 6:6 For I desire and delight in dutiful steadfast love and goodness, not sacrifice, and the knowledge of and acquaintance with God more than burnt offerings .Galatians 3:10 And all who depend on the Law are under a curse and doomed to disappointment and destruction, for it is written in the Scriptures, Cursed be everyone who does not continue to abide by all the precepts and commands written in the Book of the Law and to practice them. Galatians 3:11 Now it is evident that no person is justified through the Law, for the Scripture says, The man in right standing with God shall live by and out of faith and he who through and by faith is declared righteous and in right standing with God shall live. Galatians 3:12 But the Law does not rest on faith, for it itself says, He who does them shall live by them. Galatians 3:13 Christ purchased our freedom from the curse of the Law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.
Giving directly to those in need is more important then giving to the church
Matthew 15:3 He replied to them, And why also do you transgress and violate the commandment of God for the sake of the rules handed down to you by your forefathers? Matthew 15:4 For God commanded, Honor your father and your mother, and, He who curses or reviles or speaks evil of or abuses or treats improperly his father or mother, let him surely come to his end by death. Matthew 15:5 But you say, If anyone tells his father or mother, What you would have gained from me is already dedicated as a gift to God, then he is exempt and no longer under obligation to honor and help his father or his mother. Matthew 15:6 So for the sake of your tradition, you have set aside the Word of God. Matthew 15:7 You pretenders Admirably and truly did Isaiah prophesy of you when he said: Matthew 15:8 These people draw near Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts hold off and are far away from Me.
The Church will try to teach you otherwise
Luke 11:42 Uselessly do they worship Me, for they teach as doctrines the commands of men.
The Lord does not want your sacrifices and gifts, but for you to be merciful
Matthew 9:13 Go and learn what this means: I desire mercy and not sacrifice and sacrificial victims. For I came not to call and invite the righteous, but sinners.
Worshiping the LORD with your tithes
Then how much should I give
2Corinthians 9: 6 he who sows sparingly and grudgingly will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows generously will also reap generously and with blessings. 2Corinthians 9:7 Let each one give as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. Hosea 6: 6 For I desire and delight in dutiful steadfast love and goodness, not sacrifice, and the knowledge of and acquaintance with God more than burnt offerings. Luke 11: 42 But woe to you, Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, but disregard and neglect justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done without leaving the others undone.
False Teachers of the Bible
Separating the truth from the lie
If you do not study the Bible; understand the Bible and put forth an effort to know the teachings of CHRIST (New Testament), then you leave yourself open to every false teacher whom may come before you.
Mark 12: 24 Jesus replied, “Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God? John 5: 39 You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, John 5:40 yet you refuse to come to me to have life. 2 John 1: 9 Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.
Always remember that it was not GOD who invented religion, but man
Ephesians 4:5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; Ephesians 4:6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Matthew 7:23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
False Teachers will come after you
Matthew 7:15 Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 2John 1:10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. 2John 1:11 Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work. Matthew 23:15 Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.
Close on their heels will be the experts in religion
Luke 11:46 Jesus replied, “And you experts in the law, woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them. Mark 7:6 But He said to them, Excellently and truly did Isaiah prophesy of you, the pretenders and hypocrites, as it stands written: These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts hold off and are far distant from Me. Mark 7:7 They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rule. Mark 7:8 You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions. Mark 7:9 And he continued, You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions! Matthew 15:14 Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit. Romans 2:19 And if you are confident that you are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness. Romans 2:20 You are a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of the childish, having in the Law the embodiment of knowledge and truth. Romans 2:21 Well then, you who teach others, do you not teach yourself? While you teach against stealing, do you steal? Romans 2:22 You who say not to commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor and loathe idols, do you rob temples? Romans 2:23 You who boast in the Law, do you dishonor God by breaking the Law? Mark 7:13 Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. Matthew 23:5 Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long; Matthew 23:6 they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; Matthew 23:7 they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others. Luke 11:52 Woe to you experts in the law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering.
Romans 2:24
For, as it is written, The name of God is maligned and blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you!
2 Peter 2:12 But these people blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like unreasoning animals, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like animals they too will perish. 2 Peter 2:13 They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you. 2 Peter 2:14 With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed—an accursed brood! 2 Peter 2:15 They have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Bezer, who loved the wages of wickedness. 2 Peter 2:17 These people are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. 2 Peter 2:18 For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of the flesh, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. 2 Peter 2:19 They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for “people are slaves to whatever has mastered them.” 2 Peter 2:20 If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. 2 Peter 2:21 It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. 2 Peter 2:22 Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,” and, “A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.” John 8:43 Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. John 8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:45 Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me!
Always ensure these false teachers and experts in religion never entrap you
Matthew 24:24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
Matthew 24:25 See, I have told you ahead of time.
What To Look For
1st. Is money the driving force behind most of their teachings/preaching?
2nd. Is their priorities centered more on church buildings, then on the Body of CHRIST?
3rd. Are they working for the LORD, or for themselves?
4th. Is what they teach/and or preach lined up with the Word of GOD?
5th. Do you have easy excess to them, or is there a center of influence (Click)?
The Bible Is The Word Of GOD
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, “It is written: Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” James 1:22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. James 1:23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror James 1:24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. James 1:25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
There are many who call themselves Christians but follow their own misguided ideas on how to obey GOD
2 Timothy 4: 3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 2 Timothy 3: 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. 1 John 2:4 Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. 1 John 2:5 But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: 1 John 2:6 Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.
John 14:15 If you love me, keep my commands
John 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— John 14:17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. John 14:18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. John 14:21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.” John 14:22 Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?” John 14:23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. John 14:24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. Luke 6:46 Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?
Do not stand with one foot in the church and the other in the world
Revelation 3:15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! Revelation 3:16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
Never make the mistake of adding to or taking away from what the Bible says
Deuteronomy 4:2 Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the LORD your God that I give you. Revelation 22:18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. Revelation 22:19 And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll. Proverbs 30: 6 Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.
Never listen to anyone who adds his or her own philosophies to the Bible
Colossians 2: 8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.
It is each individual’s responsibility to read, understand, and teach the Word of GOD
Hebrews 5:12 In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Hebrews 5:13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. Hebrews 5:14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. 1 Corinthians 1:19 I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate. Where is the wise person? 1 Corinthians 1:20 Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him,
Is GOD unjust
Romans 9:14 What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! Romans 9:15 For he says to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion. Romans 9:16 It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy. Romans 9:20 But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this? Romans 9:21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?
Does GOD require our approval
John 5:41 I do not accept glory from human beings, John 5:42 but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts. Matthew 12:36 But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. Matthew 12:37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.
Some Require GOD give them a sign
Matthew 12:38 Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.” Matthew 12:39 He answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. Matthew 12:40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
As each Generation picks up on the wicked ways of the Generation before it
Matthew 12:41 The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now something greater than Jonah is here. Matthew 12:42 The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, and now something greater than Solomon is here. Matthew 12:43 When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Matthew 12:44 Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Matthew 12:45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.
Always remember not everyone who sounds religious is truly a Christian
Matthew 7: 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Matthew 7:23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ Matthew 7:24 Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Matthew 7:25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. Matthew 7:26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. Matthew 7:27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash. Philippians 3:18 For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Philippians 3:19 Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. 2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.
Never be misled. You can’t ignore GODS Laws and get away with it
Hebrews 3:18 And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed? Hebrews 10:26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, Hebrews 10:27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Hebrews 10:28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Hebrews 10:29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? Hebrews 10:30 For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” Hebrews 10:31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
For those who are truly trying their best to obey the Word of GOD
Romans 7:15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. Romans 7:16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. Romans 7:17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. Romans 7:18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. Romans 7:19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Romans 7:20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. Romans 7:21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. Romans 7:22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; Romans 7:23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. Romans 7:24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Romans 7:25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! Revelation 3:8 I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.
Those who disobey GOD will never enter Heaven
Hebrews 12:25 See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven? Hebrews 4:1 Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. Hebrews 4:2 For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed. Hebrews 4:3 Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, “So I declared on oath in my anger,‘They shall never enter my rest.’” And yet his works have been finished since the creation of the world. Hebrews 4:4 For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: “On the seventh day God rested from all his works.” Hebrews 4:5 And again in the passage above he says, “They shall never enter my rest.” Hebrews 4:6 Therefore since it still remains for some to enter that rest, and since those who formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not go in because of their disobedience, Hebrews 4:7 God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.” Hebrews 4:8 For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. Hebrews 4:9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; Hebrews 4:10 for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Hebrews 4:11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Jesus the Great High Priest Hebrews 4:14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
You will learn from experience what it is like to obey
Hebrews 5:8 Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered Hebrews 5:9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him Hebrews 5:10 and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.
GOD shows his anger against all sinful men who push away the truth
Romans 1:18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness. Romans 1:28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.
Do you think GOD will judge others and overlook you
Romans 2:1 You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. Romans 2:2 Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. Romans 2:3 So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment? Romans 2:4 Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?Romans 2:5 But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. Romans 2:6 God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” Romans 2:7 To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. Romans 2:8 But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. Romans 2:9 There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; Romans 2:10 but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. Romans 2:11 For God does not show favoritism. Romans 2:12 All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. Romans 2:13 For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. Romans 2:14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. Romans 2:15 They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.) Romans 2:16 This will take place on the day when God judges people’s secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.
Sexual Relationships
1 Corinthians 6:12 “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything. 1 Corinthians 6:13 You say, “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.” The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 1 Corinthians 6:14 By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. 1 Corinthians 6:15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! 1 Corinthians 6:16 Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” 1 Corinthians 6:17 But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit. 1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. 1 Corinthians 6:9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men. 1 Corinthians 6:19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 1 Corinthians 6:20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
Homosexuality
Leviticus 18:22 Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable. Leviticus 18:24 Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled. Leviticus 18:25 Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants. Leviticus 18:29 Everyone who does any of these detestable things—such persons must be cut off from their people. Romans 1:26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. Romans 1:27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. Romans 1:32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
Husband & Wife
1 Corinthians 7:1 Now for the matters you wrote about: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” 1 Corinthians 7:2 But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. 1 Corinthians 7:3 The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. 1 Corinthians 7:4 The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife. 1 Corinthians 7:5 Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
Unmarried
1 Corinthians 7:8 Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I do. 1 Corinthians 7:9 But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
Marriage To Unbelievers
1 Corinthians 7:12 To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her. 1 Corinthians 7:13 And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. 1 Corinthians 7:14 For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy. 1 Corinthians 7:15 But if the unbeliever leaves, let it be so. The brother or the sister is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace. 1 Corinthians 7:16 How do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or, how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?
Virgins
1 Corinthians 7:25 Now about virgins: I have no command from the Lord, but I give a judgment as one who by the Lord’s mercy is trustworthy. 1 Corinthians 7:26 Because of the present crisis, I think that it is good for a man to remain as he is. 1 Corinthians 7:27 Are you pledged to a woman? Do not seek to be released. Are you free from such a commitment? Do not look for a wife. 1 Corinthians 7:28 But if you do marry, you have not sinned; and if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. But those who marry will face many troubles in this life, and I want to spare you this. 1 Corinthians 7:29 What I mean, brothers and sisters, is that the time is short. From now on those who have wives should live as if they do not; 1 Corinthians 7:30 those who mourn, as if they did not; those who are happy, as if they were not; those who buy something, as if it were not theirs to keep; 1 Corinthians 7:31 those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them. For this world in its present form is passing away. 1 Corinthians 7:32 I would like you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord’s affairs—how he can please the Lord. 1 Corinthians 7:33 But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world—how he can please his wife— 1 Corinthians 7:34 and his interests are divided. An unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord’s affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world—how she can please her husband. 1 Corinthians 7:35 I am saying this for your own good, not to restrict you, but that you may live in a right way in undivided devotion to the Lord. 1 Corinthians 7:36 If anyone is worried that he might not be acting honorably toward the virgin he is engaged to, and if his passions are too strong and he feels he ought to marry, he should do as he wants. He is not sinning. They should get married. 1 Corinthians 7:37 But the man who has settled the matter in his own mind, who is under no compulsion but has control over his own will, and who has made up his mind not to marry the virgin—this man also does the right thing. 1 Corinthians 7:38 So then, he who marries the virgin does right, but he who does not marry her does better.
Never divorce
Mark 10:2 Some Pharisees came and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?” 1 Corinthians 7:10 To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband. 1 Corinthians 7:11 But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife. 1 Corinthians 7:39 A woman is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to marry anyone she wishes, but he must belong to the Lord. Mark 10:3 “What did Moses command you?” he replied. Mark 10:4 They said, “Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce and send her away.” Mark 10:5 “It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law,” Jesus replied. Mark 10:6 “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ Mark 10:7 ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, Mark 10:8 and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Mark 10:9 Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” Mark 10:10 When they were in the house again, the disciples asked Jesus about this. Matthew 5:31 “It has been said, ‘Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’ Matthew 5:32 But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. Mark 10:12 And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery.” Romans 7:2 For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law that binds her to him. Romans 7:3 So then, if she has sexual relations with another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress if she marries another man. Malachi 2:13 Another thing you do: You flood the LORDS altar with tears. You weep and wail because he no longer looks with favor on your offerings or accepts them with pleasure from your hands. Malachi 2:14 You ask, “Why?” It is because the LORD is the witness between you and the wife of your youth. You have been unfaithful to her, though she is your partner, the wife of your marriage covenant. Malachi 2:15 Has not the one God made you? You belong to him in body and spirit. And what does the one God seek? Godly offspring. So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful to the wife of your youth. Malachi 2:16 “The man who hates and divorces his wife,” says the LORD, the God of Israel, “does violence to the one he should protect,” says the LORD Almighty. So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful.
TEACHING THE WORD OF GOD
Before you start down the path of teaching the Word of GOD remember this,
you will not be excepted in your own town, and/or among your own people.
Matthew 13:53 When Jesus had finished these parables, he moved on from there. Matthew 13:54 Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed. “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” they asked. Matthew 13:55 “Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? Matthew 13:56 Aren’t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” Matthew 13:57 And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home.” Matthew 13:58 And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.
The Importance Of Teaching The Word Of GOD
1st. Be ready to tell others why you believe as you do.
1 Peter 3:15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,
2nd. Preach the Word of GOD urgently at all times.
2 Timothy 4:1 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
3rd. Make the most of yours chances to tell the Good News.
Colossians 4:5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Colossians 4:6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
4th. Try to help those who are mixed-up about the truth.
2 Timothy 2:25 Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, 2 Timothy 2:26 and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.
5th. There are many Christians who try to understand the scriptures, but will need someone to help them understand.
Acts 8:26 Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Go south to the road—the desert road—that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” Acts 8:27 So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of the Kandake (which means “queen of the Ethiopians”). This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship, Acts 8:28 and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the Book of Isaiah the prophet. Acts 8:29 The Spirit told Philip, “Go to that chariot and stay near it.” Acts 8:30 Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked. Acts 8:31 “How can I,” he said, “unless someone explains it to me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.
6th. Beware of the so-called Christians better known as Hypocrites who won’t listen to what the Bible says, but who are looking for Teachers to tell them just what they want to hear.
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 2 Timothy 4:4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
7th. Beware of the educated/trained scholars who hold many titles/degrees, teaching the Word of GOD.
1 Corinthians 1:19 For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.” 1 Corinthians 1:20 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?1 Corinthians 1:21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
Who Did GOD Give The Wisdom Of His WORD To
John 9:39 Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.” Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Matthew 11:26 Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.
Who Will Teach You the WORD of GOD
John 14:26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.
Never base your authority on man-made philosophies, thoughts,
and ideas instead of what CHRIST has said.
Luke 4:32 They were amazed at his teaching, because his words had authority.
There are a lot of so-called experts in religion
who will use the Old Testament to go against what the
New Testament teaches
John 5:39 You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, John 5:40 yet you refuse to come to me to have life. 2 John 1:7 I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. 2 John 1:8 Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. 2 John 1:9 Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. Colossians 2:18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind. Colossians 2:19 They have lost connection with the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.
Nothing in the Old Testament will ever have authority
over the New Testament
Hebrews 8:7 For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another. Hebrews 8:8 But God found fault with the people and said: “The days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. Hebrews 8:9 It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they did not remain faithful to my covenant, and I turned away from them, declares the Lord. Hebrews 8:10 This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. Hebrews 8:11 No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. Hebrews 8:12 For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.” Hebrews 8:13 By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear. Colossians 2:17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. Romans 4:15 because the law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression.
Examples of the Old Testament vs. New Testament
1st. Wealth and worldly things.
Job 42:10 After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before. Job 42:11 All his brothers and sisters and everyone who had known him before came and ate with him in his house. They comforted and consoled him over all the trouble the LORD had brought on him, and each one gave him a piece of silver and a gold ring. Job 42:12 The LORD blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys. Job 42:13 And he also had seven sons and three daughters. Job 42:14 The first daughter he named Jemimah, the second Keziah and the third Keren-Happuch. Job 42:15 Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job’s daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers. Job 42:16 After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation. Job 42:17 And so Job died, an old man and full of years.
VS
Matthew 19:23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 19:24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
2nd. Paying of the mandatory 10% in tithes.
Leviticus 27:30 A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the LORD; it is holy to the LORD.
VS
2 Corinthians 9:6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
2 Corinthians 9:7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
3rd. Getting involved in violence.
Exodus 21:24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, Exodus 21:25 burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise.
VS
Matthew 5:38 You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ Matthew 5:39 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.
All Christians would do well to learn the New Testament first
Galatians 3:19 Why, then, was the law given at all? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was given through angels and entrusted to a mediator. Galatians 3:20 A mediator, however, implies more than one party; but God is one. Galatians 3:21 Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law. Galatians 3:22 But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe. Galatians 3:23 Before the coming of this faith, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed. Galatians 3:24 So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. Galatians 3:25 Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian. Galatians 3:26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, Galatians 3:27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. Matthew 22:29 Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. John 8:31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. John 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
It is also very important to learn the Old Testament
Matthew 13:52 He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”
Remember who the true experts are
2 Timothy 3:10 You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, 2 Timothy 3:11 persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them. 2 Timothy 3:12 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 2 Timothy 3:13 while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 2 Timothy 3:14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 2 Timothy 3:15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 2:2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.
Not everyone is going to listen to what is true, but will make up silly ideas of what GOD is like and what GOD wants them to do. Never become involved in arguing over the meaning of GODS WORD, and never try to answer the unanswerable question. Remember, evil men and false teachers will become worse and worse, deceiving many for financial gain.
1 Timothy 6:3 If anyone teaches otherwise and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, 1 Timothy 6:4 they are conceited and understand nothing. They have an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions 1 Timothy 6:5 and constant friction between people of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain. 2 Timothy 2:23 Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. 2 Timothy 2:24 And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Titus 3:9 But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless. Titus 3:10 Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them. Titus 3:11 You may be sure that such people are warped and sinful; they are self-condemned.
Do not waste your time, wasting the LORDS time
on those who think themselves already good enough
Luke 5:31 Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. Luke 5:32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
Never try to trick anyone into believing by taking away or adding to what the Bible says
2 Corinthians 4:2 Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.
Teaching the Word of GOD will not bring you peace
Luke 12:51 Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. Luke 12:52 From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. Luke 12:53 They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.”
Examples of how JESUS taught
Matthew 12:18 “Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations. Matthew 12:19 He will not quarrel or cry out; no one will hear his voice in the streets. Matthew 12:20 A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out, till he has brought justice through to victory. Matthew 12:21 In his name the nations will put their hope.”
Never stay as baby Christians
1 Corinthians 3:1 Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 1 Corinthians 3:3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans? Hebrews 5:12 In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Hebrews 5:13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. Hebrews 5:14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. Hebrews 6:1 Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, Hebrews 6:2 instruction about cleansing rites, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. Hebrews 6:3 And God permitting, we will do so.
Teach the things people need to know
Mark 6:34 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things.
The command to go forth and teach the Word of GOD
Romans 10:14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? Romans 10:15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Matthew 5:19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Home Bible Classes
Acts 5:42 Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.
Live it like you teach it
1 Timothy 4:12 Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. 1 Timothy 4:14 Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.
Anyone who is not against JESUS is for JESUS
Mark 9:40 for whoever is not against us is for us. Mark 9:41 Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.
When you know the Word of GOD
you will know what lays ahead for you
and
you want become bored with being a Christian.
Hebrews 6:9 Even though we speak like this, dear friends, we are convinced of better things in your case—the things that have to do with salvation. Hebrews 6:10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. Hebrews 6:11 We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. Hebrews 6:12 We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
Why study the Bible
1st. To truly learn and understand the scriptures and thereby know and understand the power of GOD.
Mark 12:24 Jesus replied, “Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God? Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
2nd. To get away from our own philosophies; our own wrong and shallow answers built on our thoughts and ideas instead of what Christ said.
Colossians 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. 1 Thessalonians 2:13 And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.
3rd. To clearly understand right from wrong and to live our life’s more closely to that which is right.
4th. Those who do not know they are doing wrong will still be punished.
Luke 12:48 But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.
5th. There will be no excuse on the day of Judgment for those who push away the truth from them.
Romans 1:18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, Romans 1:19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
6th. Christians who refuse to study the Bible will never pass the Baby Christian Stage, no matter how long they’ve been a Christian.
Hebrews 6:4 It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, Hebrews 6:5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age Hebrews 6:6 and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.
There are basically six types of Bible Readers
1st. The one who reads the Bible, but understands very little of what they are reading.
Mathew 13:19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path.
The main reason why one does not understand what they are reading is due to studying from a Bible, which have words that are hard for to understand.
Many will tell you which Bible you should read; King James, New International, Living Bible, etc.
All true Bibles contain all the books of the Old and New Testament, which have been written by inspiration from GOD.
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
If the truth is hidden from anyone, it is hidden from those who refuse to study from a Bible that they can read and understand.
2 Corinthians 4:3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 2 Corinthians 4:4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4:5 For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. 2 Corinthians 4:6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.
In order to accept anyone’s teaching of the Bible you must accept the Bible from which they are teaching.
John 17:20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, John 17:21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.

Catholicism and Protestantism are united in their acceptance of the twenty-seven books of the New Testament, but concerning the books of the Old Testament there is not this agreement. When one picks up a copy of a Catholic Bible he sees that there are several additional books included in its Old Testament section which are not found in Protestant Bibles. These extra books are generally known as the apocrypha.

PICK THE ONE YOU LIKE. YOUR SELECTION IS AS GOOD
AS THE NEXT PERSONS
2nd. The person who reads the Bible, understands the Bible but can not stand up for GOD in their beliefs.
Matthew 13:20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. Matthew 13:21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. Matthew 13:22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.
3rd. The person who knows the Word of GOD, but their cares for this world are much greater then their love for GOD.
Matthew 13:22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. Philippians 2:21 For everyone looks out for their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.
4th. The person who does not believe the Bible.
2 Timothy 3:1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 Timothy 3:2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 2 Timothy 3:3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 2 Timothy 3:4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—2 Timothy 3:5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. 2 Timothy 3:6 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 2 Timothy 3:7 always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. 2 Timothy 3:8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 2 Timothy 3:9 But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.
5th. The most evil; the one who will take GODS Word and twist it around with their own philosophies to protect their man-made traditions.
Mark 7:6 He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Mark 7:7 They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.’ Mark 7:8 You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.” Mark 7:9 And he continued, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions! Romans 2:19 if you are convinced that you are a guide for the blind, a light for those who are in the dark, Romans 2:20 an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of little children, because you have in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth—Romans 2:21 you, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal? Romans 2:22 You who say that people should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? Romans 2:23 You who boast in the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law? Romans 2:24 As it is written: “God’s name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”
6th. The one who reads the Bible; understands the Bible, and tries their best to live in accordance with the Word of GOD.
Matthew 13:23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” Revelation 3:8 I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.
The Power Of JESUS
JESUS is the very image of GOD, and it is JESUS Power
which regulates the universe. He is the one who died to cleanse us and clear our record with GOD
Hebrews 1:1 In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, Hebrews 1:2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. Hebrews 1:4 So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.
JESUS is LORD
Hebrews 1:5 For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father”? Or again, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son”? Hebrews 1:6 And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship him.” Hebrews 1:7 In speaking of the angels he says, “He makes his angels spirits, and his servants flames of fire.” Hebrews 1:8 But about the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. Hebrews 1:9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.” Hebrews 1:10 He also says, “In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. Hebrews 1:11 They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Hebrews 1:12 You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same, and your years will never end.” Hebrews 1:13 To which of the angels did God ever say, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”? Hebrews 1:14 Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?
We have not seen all there is,
but we have seen what JESUS has done for us
Hebrews 2:1 We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. Hebrews 2:2 For since the message spoken through angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, Hebrews 2:3 how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. Hebrews 2:4 God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will. Jesus Made Fully Human Hebrews 2:5 It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking. Hebrews 2:6 But there is a place where someone has testified: “What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him? Hebrews 2:7 You made them a little lower than the angels; you crowned them with glory and honor Hebrews 2:8 and put everything under their feet.” In putting everything under them, God left nothing that is not subject to them. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them. Hebrews 2:9 But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
GOD who made everything allow JESUS to suffer so that he would bring vast multitudes of GOD’S People to Heaven
Hebrews 2:10 In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered.
We have been made holy by JESUS, and we have the same FATHER he has, and JESUS calls us his brothers
Hebrews 2:11 Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. Hebrews 2:12 He says, “I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises.” Hebrews 2:13 And again, “I will put my trust in him.”And again he says, “Here am I, and the children God has given me.”
JESUS broke the power of the Devil
who had the power of death
Hebrews 2:14 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— Hebrews 2:15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. Hebrews 2:16 For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants. Hebrews 2:17 For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Hebrews 2:18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.
Faith-Trials-Tribulations
What is Faith
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Depending on how strong your faith in the LORD is
will be the determining factor
on how much you will be able to do in the name of the LORD.
Matthew 17:20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Hebrews 3:19 So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.
The power to heal must have faith from both
the giver and the receiver
The Giver Mark 9:23 If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.
The Receiver Acts 14:9 He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed.
All faith must be beyond any doubt
Matthew 21:21 Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. Matthew 21:22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” Mark 11:25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
Your faith will be put to the test
1 Peter 1:6 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 1 Peter 1:7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 1 Peter 1:8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 1 Peter 1:9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls. Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Romans 5:2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; Romans 5:4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. Romans 5:5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
When the tests do come you must
cling tightly to your faith in CHRIST
Luke 7:18 John’s disciples told him about all these things. Calling two of them, Luke 7:19 he sent them to the Lord to ask, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?” Luke 7:20 When the men came to Jesus, they said, “John the Baptist sent us to you to ask, ‘Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?’” Luke 7:21 At that very time Jesus cured many who had diseases, sicknesses and evil spirits, and gave sight to many who were blind. Luke 7:22 So he replied to the messengers, “Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. Luke 7:23 Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.” Luke 7:24 After John’s messengers left, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swayed by the wind? Luke 7:25 If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who wear expensive clothes and indulge in luxury are in palaces. Luke 7:26 But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. Luke 7:27 This is the one about whom it is written: “‘I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.’ Luke 7:28 I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.” Luke 7:29 (All the people, even the tax collectors, when they heard Jesus’ words, acknowledged that God’s way was right, because they had been baptized by John. Luke 7:30 But the Pharisees and the experts in the law rejected God’s purpose for themselves, because they had not been baptized by John.) Luke 7:31 Jesus went on to say, “To what, then, can I compare the people of this generation? What are they like? Luke 7:32 They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling out to each other: “‘We played the pipe for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not cry.’ Luke 7:33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’ Luke 7:34 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ Luke 7:35 But wisdom is proved right by all her children.”
Always remember GOD will watch over your needs and
will take care of all that concerns you
1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Luke 18:27 Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” Romans 1:17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
GOD will reward your faith with his power
2 Thessalonians 1:11 With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. 2 Timothy 1:8 So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. Hebrews 3:14 We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end.
GOD will use your sufferings to make you ready for his Kingdom
2 Thessalonians 1:4 Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring. 2 Thessalonians 1:5 All this is evidence that God’s judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.
GOD is preparing judgment and
punishment for those who are hurting you
2 Thessalonians 1:6 God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you 2 Thessalonians 1:7 and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well.
Even when we have no faith left,
GOD will still be faithful and never leave us
2 Timothy 2:13 if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:24 The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.
What is true faith
1 Thessalonians 5:5 You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 1 Thessalonians 5:6 So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. 1 Thessalonians 5:7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. 1 Thessalonians 5:8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. 1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Matthew 15:22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.” Matthew 15:23 Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.” Matthew 15:24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” Matthew 15:25 The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said. Matthew 15:26 He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.” Matthew 15:27 “Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.” Matthew 15:28 Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment. Matthew 8:5 When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. Matthew 8:6 “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.” Matthew 8:7 Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?” Matthew 8:8 The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. Matthew 8:9 For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” Matthew 8:10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith. Matthew 8:11 I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 8:12 But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 8:13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that moment.
Always remember when we have trouble
it isn’t because GOD doesn’t love us anymore
Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? Romans 8:36 As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, Romans 8:39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Hebrews 11:39 These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, Hebrews 11:40 since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.
Worship GOD and GOD Only
Matthew 4:10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’” Exodus 20:1 And God spoke all these words: Exodus 20:2 “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. Exodus 20:3 “You shall have no other gods before me.
Never make any idol of anything to worship,
not even a statue of GOD, or any Saints or Angels
Deuteronomy 4:15 You saw no form of any kind the day the LORD spoke to you at Horeb out of the fire. Therefore watch yourselves very carefully, Deuteronomy 4:16 so that you do not become corrupt and make for yourselves an idol, an image of any shape, whether formed like a man or a woman, Deuteronomy 4:17 or like any animal on earth or any bird that flies in the air, Deuteronomy 4:18 or like any creature that moves along the ground or any fish in the waters below. Deuteronomy 4:19 And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars—all the heavenly array—do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the LORD your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven. Exodus 20:5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, Exodus 20:6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments. Revelation 19:9 Then the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” And he added, “These are the true words of God.” Revelation 22:8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me. Revelation 22:9 But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow prophets and with all who keep the words of this scroll. Worship God!
JESUS put an end of sacrifices to GOD
for the payment of our sins
Hebrews 7:27 Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself. 1 John 2:2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. Colossians 1:20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Romans 5:2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
What is true repenting
Romans 6:12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Romans 6:13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. Romans 6:14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
Church Meetings
Do not neglect your church meetings
Hebrews 10:25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. 1 John 2:19 They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.
What should take place during a church meeting
1 Corinthians 14:26 What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up.
Teaching sessions, Communion services, Prayer meetings,
Sharing with each other, Caring for those in need,
Enjoying meals together.
Acts 2:42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 2:43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. Acts 2:44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. Acts 2:45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Acts 2:46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, Acts 2:47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
Showing deep love for each other
Using your GOD given abilities to help each other
1 Peter 4:8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
Singing unto the LORD with psalms, hymns, and music,
giving thanks for everything to GOD in the name of JESUS
Ephesians 5:19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, Ephesians 5:20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
What day of the week should church be held on
Romans 14:5 One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. Romans 14:6 Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.
Why Sunday is the best day and what the day is for
Matthew 28:1 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. Matthew 28:2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. Matthew 28:3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. Matthew 28:4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. Matthew 28:5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. Matthew 28:6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Matthew 28:7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.” Mark 2:23 One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grainfields, and as his disciples walked along, they began to pick some heads of grain. Mark 2:24 The Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?” Mark 2:25 He answered, “Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry and in need? Mark 2:26 In the days of Abiathar the high priest, he entered the house of God and ate the consecrated bread, which is lawful only for priests to eat. And he also gave some to his companions.” Mark 2:27 Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. Mark 2:28 So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”
Who should be allowed to attend church meetings
Romans 14:1 Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. Colossians 3:11 Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. Galatians 3:27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
What religion should the church practice
Ephesians 4:5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. John 17:21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. Philippians 2:2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.
Attitude within the church meetings
Timothy 5:1 Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, Timothy 5:2 older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.
Where should the church meet
John 4: 21 “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. John 4:22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. John 4:23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. John 4:24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”Acts 2:46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, Acts 2:47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
Praying
The word of GOD says you can pray for anything
and if you believe then it is yours
Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Matthew 21:21 Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. Matthew 21:22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
So Why Do Prayers Go Unanswered
1st. The person who is asking has doubt the prayer will be answered.
Mark 11:23 “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
2nd. The person is praying in sin.
Mark 11:25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”Matthew 6:14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Matthew 6:15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
3rd. The husband is abusing his wife
1 Peter 3:7 Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
4th. The person is not praying with holy hands lifted up to the LORD, free of sin, anger, and resentment
1 Timothy 2:8 Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing.
5th. GOD, for his own reasons will not give you everything you ask for
Romans 9:14 What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! Romans 9:15 For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” Romans 9:16 It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy. James 4:3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
6th. GOD is not given first place in your heart
Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. Do Not Worry Matthew 6:25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Matthew 6:27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? Matthew 6:28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Matthew 6:29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. Matthew 6:30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? Matthew 6:31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ Matthew 6:32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Healing Through Prayer
James 5:13 Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. James 5:14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. James 5:15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
Why GOD does not always heal
1st. GOD’S Power shows up best in weak people.
2 Corinthians 12:8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2nd. GOD will use your sufferings to make you ready for the Kingdom of Heaven
3rd. GOD will test your faith
4th. Some have sinned greatly before the LORD
(The taking of Communion)
1 Corinthians 11:27 So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. 1 Corinthians 11:28 Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. 1 Corinthians 11:29 For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves. 1 Corinthians 11:30 That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. 1 Corinthians 11:31 But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgment.
Steps In Receiving GOD’S Blessings
1st. Learn to know HIM
2 Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. 2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 2 Peter 1:4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
2nd. Work hard to be good
2 Peter 1:5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;
3rd. Put aside your own desires
2 Peter 1:6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;
4th. Love others
2 Peter 1:7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 2 Peter 1:8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
5th. Putting it together.
2 Peter 1:9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins. 2 Peter 1:10 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, 2 Peter 1:11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
GODS Blessings comes through obedience to GODS Word
Genesis 22:15 The angel of the LORD called to Abraham from heaven a second time Genesis 22:16 and said, “I swear by myself, declares the LORD, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, Genesis 22:17 I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, Genesis 22:18 and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.”
Guidelines In Praying
Matthew 6:7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Matthew 6:8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Matthew 6:9 “This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, Matthew 6:10 your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:11 Give us today our daily bread. Matthew 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. Matthew 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’ Matthew 6:14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Matthew 6:15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
1st. When praying never put the LORD to a foolish test.
Matthew 4:7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’
2nd. If your having problems praying, ask the HOLY SPIRIT for help.
Romans 8:26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. Romans 8:27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
3rd. Always begin your prayers by giving thanks to the LORD for what HE has already done for you
Colossians 1:3 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you
4th. Never become weary in prayer.
Colossians 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
5th. Keep praying until the answer comes.
Luke 18:1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. Luke 18:2 He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. Luke 18:3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ Luke 18:4 “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, Luke 18:5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’” Luke 18:6 And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. Luke 18:7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? Luke 18:8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
6th. Pray in private.
Matthew 6:5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. Matthew 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
7th. Give thanks to the LORD before every meal
Matthew 15:33 His disciples answered, “Where could we get enough bread in this remote place to feed such a crowd?” Matthew 15:34 “How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked. “Seven,” they replied, “and a few small fish.” Matthew 15:35 He told the crowd to sit down on the ground. Matthew 15:36 Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, and when he had given thanks, he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and they in turn to the people. Matthew 15:37 They all ate and were satisfied. Afterward the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. Matthew 15:38 The number of those who ate was four thousand men, besides women and children.
Rejoice In the LORD
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Philippians 4:5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 1 Thessalonians 5:16 Rejoice always, 1 Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:19 Do not quench the Spirit.
Sing unto the LORD with thankful hearts
Colossians 3:16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
Communion Service
1 Corinthians 11:23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 1 Corinthians 11:24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 1 Corinthians 11:25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 1 Corinthians 11:26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. 1 Corinthians 11:32 Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world. 1 Corinthians 11:33 So then, my brothers and sisters, when you gather to eat, you should all eat together. 1 Corinthians 11:34 Anyone who is hungry should eat something at home, so that when you meet together it may not result in judgment.
Fasting
Matthew 6:16 “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. Matthew 6:17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, Matthew 6:18 so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Anointing
Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, Luke 4:19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
Healing
Mark 6:13 They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them. James 5:14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.
Feet Washing
John 13:4 so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. John 13:5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. John 13:6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?” John 13:7 Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.” John 13:8 “No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.”Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.” John 13:9 “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!” John 13:10 Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you.” John 13:11 For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not every one was clean. John 13:12 When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. John 13:13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. John 13:14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. John 13:15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. John 13:16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. John 13:17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
Born Again
GOD alone will be the one to bring people to JESUS
John 6:43 “Stop grumbling among yourselves,” Jesus answered. John 6:44 “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day. Romans 8:29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. Romans 8:30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. Hebrews 8:11 No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest.
Not all who are called will come
Matthew 22:14 “For many are invited, but few are chosen.”
What is meant when we say a person is Born Again
Colossians 2:11 In Him also you were circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, but in a spiritual circumcision performed by Christ by stripping off the body of the flesh (the whole corrupt, carnal nature with its passions and lusts). Colossians 2:12 Thus you were circumcised when you were buried with Him in your baptism, in which you were also raised with Him to a new life through your faith in the working of God as displayed when He raised Him up from the dead. Colossians 2:13 And you who were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh your sensuality, your sinful carnal nature, God brought to life together with Christ, having freely forgiven us all our transgressions, Colossians 2:14 Having cancelled and blotted out and wiped away the handwriting of the note with its legal decrees and demands which was in force and stood against us. This note with its regulations, decrees, and demands He set aside and cleared completely out of our way by nailing it to His cross. Colossians 2:15 God disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in the cross.
Steps In Being Baptized
1st. You must publicly acknowledge JESUS
Matthew 10:32 Therefore, everyone who acknowledges Me before men and confesses Me out of a state of oneness with Me, I will also acknowledge him before My Father Who is in heaven and confess that I am abiding in him. Matthew 10:33 But whoever denies and disowns Me before men, I also will deny and disown him before My Father Who is in heaven.
2nd. You should show by the way you live that you have truly repented
Matthew 3:2 And saying, Repent think differently; change your mind, regretting your sins and changing your conduct, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 3:8 Bring forth fruit that is consistent with repentance let your lives prove your change of heart; James 2:14 What is the use, my brethren, for anyone to profess to have faith if he has no good works to show for it? Can such faith save his soul?
3rd. Be baptized by water immersion
Matthew 3:15 Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John consented. 1 Peter 3:21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 1 Peter 3:22 who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him. Romans 6:3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? Romans 6:4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
4th. You must be baptized in the name of the FATHER – the SON – and the HOLY SPIRIT
Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
Only those who are baptized will be saved
Mark 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
This is not the end, for it is only the new beginning,
for now you must give up your old sinful ways
1 John 3:5 But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. 1 John 3:6 No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.
Usually a person should keep on with the work they were doing when GOD called them;
However this does not mean to keep living in sin
1 Corinthians 7:20 Each person should remain in the situation they were in when God called them. 1 Corinthians 7:21 Were you a slave when you were called? Don’t let it trouble you—although if you can gain your freedom, do so. 1 Corinthians 7:22 For the one who was a slave when called to faith in the Lord is the Lord’s freed person; similarly, the one who was free when called is Christ’s slave. 1 Corinthians 7:23 You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings. 1 Corinthians 7:24 Brothers and sisters, each person, as responsible to God, should remain in the situation they were in when God called them.
Don’t be surprised how your former friends will act towards you now that you are a Christian
1 Peter 4:3 For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do—living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. 1 Peter 4:4 They are surprised that you do not join them in their reckless, wild living, and they heap abuse on you. 1 Peter 4:5 But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
Backsliding/Unbelievers
Separating From God
It is better if you had never know GOD, then to know HIM
and them go back to your old sinful ways
2 Peter 2:20 If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. 2 Peter 2:21 It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. 2 Peter 2:22 Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,” and, “A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.” 2 Peter 2:24 “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ 2 Peter 2:25 When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order. 2 Peter 2:26 Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first.”
Apart from GOD you can do nothing
John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
Anyone who separates from GOD is thrown away
John 15:6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. Hebrews 10:30 For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” Hebrews 10:31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Christians should try to bring backsliding
Christians back to GOD
James 5:19 My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, James 5:20 remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.
GOD will show his anger from Heaven against all
sinful, evil men who push away the truth from themselves
Romans 1:18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, Romans 1:19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. Romans 1:21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Romans 1:22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools.
Those who try to ignore GOD will never get away with it
Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Galatians 6:8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 2 Peter 3:3 Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 2 Peter 3:4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” 2 Peter 3:5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. 2 Peter 3:6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. 2 Peter 3:7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. 2 Peter 3:8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.
Your approval or disapproval of JESUS means nothing to HIM
John 5:41 Your approval or disapproval means nothing to me, John 5:42 because I know you don’t have God’s love within you. John 5: 43 For I have come to you representing my Father, and you refuse to welcome me, even though you readily accept others who represent only themselves. John 5:44 No wonder you can’t believe! For you gladly honor each other, but you don’t care about the honor that comes from God alone.
GOD will punish all sinners
Romans 2:12 When the Gentiles sin, they will be destroyed, even though they never had God’s written law. And the Jews, who do have God’s law, will be judged by that law when they fail to obey it. Romans 2:13 For merely listening to the law doesn’t make us right with God. It is obeying the law that makes us right in his sight. Romans 2:14 Even Gentiles, who do not have God’s written law, show that they know his law when they instinctively obey it, even without having heard it. Romans 2:15 They demonstrate that God’s law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right. Romans 2:16 And this is the message I proclaim—that the day is coming when God, through Christ Jesus, will judge everyone’s secret life.
Becoming A Disciple Of JESUS
The Harvest Is Great And The Workers Few
Pray to JESUS. Ask for more workers for the harvest
Matthew 9:37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Matthew 9:38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
You will be as sheep among wolfs.
Be as wary as serpents and as harmless as doves
Matthew 10:16 “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. Matthew 10:17 Be on your guard; you will be handed over to the local councils and be flogged in the synagogues. Matthew 10:18 On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. Matthew 10:19 But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, Matthew 10:20 for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. Matthew 10:21 “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. Matthew 10:22 You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. Matthew 10:23 When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes. Matthew 10:24 “The student is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his master. Matthew 10:25 It is enough for students to be like their teachers, and servants like their masters. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebul, how much more the members of his household! Matthew 10:26 “So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. Matthew 10:27 What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs. Matthew 10:28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. Matthew 10:30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Matthew 10:31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Matthew 10:32 “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. Matthew 10:33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven. Matthew 10:39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it. Matthew 10:40 “Anyone who welcomes you welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. Matthew 10:41 Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever welcomes a righteous person as a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward.
Anyone who will let themselves be distracted from the Work JESUS has plan for them is not fit for the Kingdom of Heaven.
Luke 9:59 He said to another man, “Follow me.” But he replied, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.” Luke 9:60 Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:61 Still another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say goodbye to my family.” Luke 9:62 Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”
Your message of JESUS will not bring peace, but division
Luke 12:51 Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. Luke 12:52 From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. Matthew 10:35 For I have come to turn “‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law— Matthew 10:36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’ Matthew 10:37 “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Matthew 10:38 Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
Do not say you are ready or willing to start
until you have counted the cost
Luke 14:26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:27 And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:28 “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? Luke 14:29 For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, Luke 14:30 saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’ Luke 14:31 “Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? Luke 14:32 If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace. Luke 14:33 In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples. Matthew 19:29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.
You must put aside your own pleasures and
shoulder your own cross and follow JESUS
Mark 8:34 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. Mark 8:35 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. Mark 8:36 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Mark 8:37 Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? Mark 8:38 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”
Those who follow JESUS will suffer at the hands
of those who hate JESUS
2 Timothy 3:12 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,
Be happy when you are cursed and insulted
for you belong to JESUS
1 Peter 4:14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. Luke 6:22 Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. Luke 6:23 “Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets.
Do not be surprise when the world hates you
1 John 3:13 Do not be surprised, my brothers and sisters, if the world hates you.
Your authority comes from JESUS CHRIST Our LORD
Matthew 28:18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Matthew 28:20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
The Power of JESUS CHRIST used through His Disciples
Mark 16:17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; Mark 16:18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, {It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.} it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” John 14:12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. John 14:13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Romans 8:33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Philippians 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
JESUS will never put more upon you then you are able to handle
Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Your greatest glory will be you belong to JESUS
2 Thessalonians 1:12 We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Your Mission
1st. Preach/teach the coming of the Kingdom of GOD
Luke 9:60 Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” Colossians 4:5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Colossians 4:6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. 2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
2nd. Bring souls into the Kingdom of GOD
John 15:8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. Romans 1:5 Through him we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith for his name’s sake.
Guidelines To Follow Doing Your Work For JESUS
1st. When you enter a home give it your blessing
Luke 10:5 “When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ Luke 10:6 If someone who promotes peace is there, your peace will rest on them; if not, it will return to you.
2nd. Do not hesitate to accept hospitality
Luke 10:7 Stay there, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house. Luke 10:8 “When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you. Luke 10:9 Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
3rd. If your message is refused, wipe the dust from your feet and move on
Luke 10:10 But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say, Luke 10:11 ‘Even the dust of your town we wipe from our feet as a warning to you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God has come near.’
4th. Put into practice GODS Word
Luke 11:28 He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”
5th. Your attitude should be the kind that was shown by JESUS CHRIST
Philippians 2:5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Philippians 2:6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; Philippians 2:7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. Philippians 2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!
6th. Stay away from complaining and arguing. Shine among those who hear you; as beacon lights
Philippians 2:14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, Philippians 2:15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky Philippians 2:16 as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.
7th. Always be full of joy in the LORD and don’t worry about anything
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Philippians 4:5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8th. Whatever you do or say let it be as a representative of the LORD JESUS CHRIST
Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. 2 Timothy 2:5 Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive the victor’s crown except by competing according to the rules. 2 Timothy 2:6 The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops. 2 Timothy 2:7 Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this.
9th. Always guard well your GOD given ability from the HOLY SPIRIT
2 Timothy 1:14 Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.
10th. Those who receive you because you belong to JESUS will not lose his reward
Mark 9:41 Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.
11th. Never think you are a burden to anyone
Galatians 6:6 Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor. Luke 8:3 Joanna the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod’s household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.
12th. What to say when ask why you are involved in the LORDS Work
Luke 10:38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. Luke 10:39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. Luke 10:40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” Luke 10:41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, Luke 10:42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Are You Ready
1 Thessalonians 1:4 For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you, 1 Thessalonians 1:5 because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake. 1 Thessalonians 1:6 You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. 1 Thessalonians 1:7 And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia. 1 Thessalonians 1:8 The Lord’s message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia—your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it, 1 Thessalonians 1:9 for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 1 Thessalonians 1:10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath. Philippians 1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
